
A recent study found that workers whose jobs don’t allow for distancing are more likely to be lower paid, less likely to have a college degree, and more likely to be nonwhite. As states begin to reopen their economies, many workers feel they don’t have the luxury to say no to returning to their jobs, even if they don’t feel safe from the coronavirus.
