Trump White House tells Democrats to ‘get serious’ about stimulus negotiations

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and and press secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke to reporters July 31 about legislative negotiations for a new stimulus package aimed at extending unemployment benefits and a federal eviction moratorium. The Republican administration accused Democrats of a lack of flexibility, saying they wanted to spend more than put forward in an earlier proposal.
