Cranes Watch as Alligators Wrestle on Golf Course in Southwest Florida

Part of a golf course in Rotonda West, Florida, went back to nature recently as two alligators duked it out on the grass, with cranes watching as the apex predators snapped and wrestled. Footage taken by Mary Lukas Jurkowski and posted October 27 shows an alligator approaching the other, then snapping. The reptiles then lock into an extended contest, and large birds move in around the epic spectacle. “I was doing yardwork when I heard a mating call from a bull,” wrote Jurkowski. “A short while later, a second alligator showed up.
