China promises to continue work on ‘phase one’ deal with US despite tensions

The Chinese government on Friday vowed to continue working toward implementing “phase one” of the U.S.-China trade deal despite ongoing tensions between the world’s two largest economies.Speaking at the National People’s Congress (NPC), which was delayed by two months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said they will continue to work toward implementing the deal with the U.S. in an effort to revive their economy.”We…
