Jumping Mako Shark Almost Lands on Passing Boat Off Queensland

A group of friends were fishing off the Yeppoon coast in Queensland when they witnessed a mako shark breach the water in several spectacular leaps, one of which almost had the fish land in a passing boat. Gert Burger was enjoying the afternoon with his friends, and began filming after the shark had already made several breaches. Luckily, the show continued as Burger recorded, with a third leap seeing the shark land back in the water right next to a passing boat. The mako is the fastest shark in the world. and has a reputation for impressive leaping. Credit: Gert Burger via Storyful
