Hulu is making some changes to its selection of films and television series this August. For families seeking some entertainment while staying home amid the pandemic, Dora and the Lost City of Gold makes it way to the streamer. The live-action film adaptation of the animated Nickelodeon TV series stars Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña and Eva Longoria, with Danny Trejo voicing Boots. As for those seeking international views and a touch of danger, James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace also arrive in August. Other films headed to the streamer this month include J.C. Chandor’s Wall Street drama Margin Call; My Best Friend’s Wedding, starring Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney and Cameron Diaz; Jason Reitman’s George Clooney starrer Up in the Air; several Star Trek films; gerrymandering documentary Slay the Dragon; The Peanut Butter Falcon, starring Zack Gottsagen and Shia LaBeouf; Monster’s Ball, starring Halle Berry in her Oscar-winning role; and Ordinary Love, starring Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson. Hulu original film The Binge, which looks at a time in which all drugs and alcohol are illegal except for one day, will also premiere in August. As for Top Gun fans who have awaited the film’s sequel (now delayed to 2021), August is a chance to revisit Tom Cruise’s Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the 1986 original. On the TV side, Hulu subscribers can check out the fifth season of NBC’s Blindspot and the seventh season of CBS’ Mom. Missed what came to Hulu last month? Check out the July additions here.
