The Las Vegas suburb of Henderson had significant rainfall for the first time in months on September 21, much to the delight of one local Rottweiler and a little girl. Amber Opheikens recorded a video of her daughter and her dog, Tank, out enjoying the rare downpour. Opheikens told Storyful that although Tank “loves anything with water” this was her dog’s first time chasing the rain. The National Weather Service said the downpours on September 21 were isolated to Anthem and Henderson, which meant that for Las Vegas itself, a record stretch of 154 days without measurable rain continued.
