While on a fishing trip on Katherine River in Australia’s Northern Territory, Trent de With and a friend happened upon a colony of bats. “It doesn’t take long to work out when it’s time to go home,” With can be heard saying in footage he shared with Storyful, as hundreds of bats fly over his head. “They don’t pose any danger to us,” With added, noting though that all he and his friend were hoping for was that “they weren’t going to s**t on us!” A colony of dusky leaf-nosed bats lives nearby in Nitmiluk National Park. According to the Northern Territory Government website the “tiny” bats “leave their roosts after sunset in search of food.” Credit: Trent de With via Storyful
