These common diseases are detectable in DNA

Recently, genetic research has given scientists new insight into the relationship between our genes and the development of certain diseases. We can now order genetic testing to learn about which health conditions we are predisposed to because of our genes. Before you opt for a DNA test, we recommend that you talk to your doctor or to another healthcare professional. And remember, just because you test positive for a certain gene, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get that disease. The same goes for negative results: they don’t guarantee that you are safe.
