An enormous skein of geese was spotted soaring and squawking above the southwestern Missouri city of Springfield on November 21. Local man Tim Wolter, who shot this footage, told Storyful: “I heard the geese before I saw them”. The video shows the geese transition from scattered groups into multiple V-shape formations. Geese fly in V formations to conserve energy and maintain visual contact with fellow wedge members. Credit: Tim Wolters via Storyful
